Waiting with Expectation
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” — Psalm 27:13-14
You don’t have to worry; God is in control and on the throne. He takes care of all of His children.
In His timing, He always will bring the best out of a situation, the best out of us and the greatest blessing to us. He is perfect in regarding the work He performs in us. He is sovereign, and even when it doesn’t appear any good will come out of our test or pain, He brings us through it, and uses it to create the masterpiece of our lives.
I have always found God to be faithful to His Word, even when it didn’t look like it. He’s been mighty. When we had no strength, and had no idea what He was up to, He was actually carrying us. We would have given up, except that we knew that He was good. Just know that God is forming Christ in us, and in time, we will understand.
And so, wait on the Lord! This isn’t the waiting like sitting in a dental office waiting room. This means to have an expectation of God. Expect Him to do what He said He would do. Expect Him to keep His covenant. Don’t faint because we will see His goodness toward us. He is a good God. So take courage, and through it all, wait on the Lord! We will not faint now because we believe God is Good! We choose to take courage and wait on Him. Amen!
